Hamburg, November 2021. This year the veterinary portal heiland.com  its successful logistics project with a particularly efficient and environmentally friendly campaign: From November 28th to December 12th, 2021, veterinary practices can for the first time receive their orders from a total of four manufacturers in one shipment. The attractive Santa Claus package promises significantly less packaging waste, less stress in everyday practice and a direct contribution to CO2 compensation. How heiland.comthe partner "Plant for the planet" when planting a tree with every Santa Claus package sent.

"Saint Nicholas has never had such a small ecological footprint," smile the two Heiland brothers, Jaan and Claas Heiland. "We are very pleased that we were able to further expand our popular project of combination orders this year in terms of efficiency and sustainability. We would particularly like to thank MSD Tiergesundheit at this point. The reusable box developed by MSD is a milestone for climate protection and makes our campaign truly sustainable. As a result, we can now offer an extended combined offer logistics with a total of four manufacturers.”

"Ho Ho Ho" - a gift for efficiency and the environment

Over 25,000 combi-packages sent and 50 tons of CO2 savings - this is the result of more than a year of the successful combi-logistics project from heiland.com. Now the veterinary portal is putting a cap on the popular project in the truest sense of the word. In the two-week campaign period, veterinary practices can place their order - after a short registration at heiland.com - put together individually from a total of four major manufacturers. In addition to MSD Tiergesundheit and Vetoquinol, the new package also includes products from almapharm and Ecuphar.

With the Santa Claus package, every veterinary practice can make its contribution to significantly less packaging waste and CO2 emissions. The delivery takes place in the reusable box developed by MSD together with the partners Smart Container Loop GmbH and trans-o-flex. The sustainable system saves around 50% CO2, with 50 cycles including return logistics and cleaning. This is made possible by the pioneering work of MSD Tiergesundheit, which is the first company in the veterinary industry to completely convert its shipping to reusable boxes. The Managing Director of MSD Animal Health Jan Nemec  adds: "We would be happy if other manufacturers followed our example and would be happy to support them in using our successful system for the sake of the environment."

Combined shipping also leads to fewer parcels being accepted and thus to fewer interruptions in everyday practice - a significant improvement for a less stressful working atmosphere and more time for the patients. At the same time, the usual delivery conditions remain in place and the veterinarians save double the shipping fee.

"Plant for the Planet" - Santa Claus promotes environmental protection

Planting trees again this year. Every veterinary practice that decides to order the Nikolauspaket via heiland.com supports the environment in a direct way. Because one package less is one tree more: For each package ordered, the project partners plant one tree in cooperation with "Plant for the Planet". In this way, all participants in the campaign contribute to sustainable climate protection. More information at plant-for-the-planet.org.
